Beginner level Activities

During the 30 minutes of classes we would normally spend 5 minutes going over the homework from last week. We then spend 15 minutes on a level reading the student feels comfortable on, during the story we would also form conversations about the topic by sharing some similar experiences we might have with the main character. At the end, we would spend 10 minutes playing a little game like draw a saurus or matching. By the end of the class, students will get assigned short homework, sometimes memorizing vocabularies or grammar practice that connect to that class’ reading topic.
Intermediate Level Activities

In intermediate classes, teachers usually assign a level of reading that is appropriate for the student during the classes. (Teachers normally give the reading ahead of class, so students could review the topic beforehand.) Sometimes, the classes are more geared towards essay practices and grammar reviews. As homework, there is normally a written prompt question or a short worksheet for students to fill out. Homework is reviewed by the teacher and is discussed in the next class. We do play games if there is extra time in class or a special holiday.
